These SMS Terms & Conditions (“SMS Terms”) govern text messages sent by or on behalf of United eFile LLC (“United eFile,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By providing your mobile number and affirmatively consenting to receive text messages where consent is required, you agree to these SMS Terms.
1. Types of Messages
Depending on your relationship with United eFile and the consent you provide, text messages may include:
Appointment confirmations and reminders;
Account and onboarding communications;
Customer-support messages;
Software and service notifications;
Training and event information;
Renewal or account reminders;
Requested information;
Product and service updates;
Promotional offers; and
Other communications consistent with the consent you provided.
2. Consent
Where required by law, United eFile will obtain consent before sending automated marketing text messages.
Consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any United eFile product or service.
Providing a telephone number for account administration, support, an appointment, or another transaction does not by itself constitute consent to receive unrelated automated marketing messages where separate consent is required.
3. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with United eFile, the services you use, and the communications you have requested.
United eFile does not guarantee a specific number of messages.
4. Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply according to your wireless carrier and mobile service plan.
United eFile is not responsible for charges imposed by your wireless carrier.
5. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of applicable United eFile text messages at any time by replying:

After an opt-out request is processed, you may receive a confirmation message.
United eFile may continue to communicate with you through non-SMS channels where appropriate.
Where permitted by law, certain texts necessary to complete a transaction you specifically requested or address an immediate security or account matter may be handled according to applicable requirements.

7. Re-Enrolling
If you previously opted out and later want to receive eligible United eFile text messages again, you may provide new consent through an available United eFile enrollment method.
8. Supported Carriers and Delivery
Text-message delivery is subject to wireless-network availability and carrier systems.
Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
United eFile cannot guarantee that every message will be delivered or received.
9. Mobile Information and Privacy
United eFile handles personal information associated with text messaging according to the United eFile Privacy Policy.
United eFile does not sell mobile telephone information obtained through SMS enrollment or share it with unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
Information may be provided to vendors and communications providers as reasonably necessary to operate the messaging service, deliver messages, maintain systems, provide support, prevent fraud, or comply with applicable law.
10. Accurate Contact Information
You are responsible for providing a mobile number that you are authorized to use.
If your mobile number changes or is reassigned, you should notify United eFile or opt out before discontinuing use of the number.
11. Changes to the SMS Program
United eFile may modify or discontinue an SMS program at any time.
These SMS Terms may also be updated periodically. The current version will be made available through the United eFile Legal Center.
12. Relationship to Other Terms
These SMS Terms supplement the United eFile Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.
If another United eFile agreement contains specific messaging requirements applicable to a particular service, those requirements may also apply.
